CHURCH PERIODICALS:

Regarding the following and other printed periodicals related to the Episcopal Church,
more details can be found in The Church Annual, commonly called The Red Book, in its section
on periodicals.  (The St. Petersburg Cathedral Book Store carries it.)  This book  is well worth buying every 8 years or so, even for the average parishioner, not just professionals.
The Red Book is brim full of info and contacts, periodicals, religious orders, and devotional societies. It lists all the bishops, all the clergy, Episcopal religious orders, etc.  The Red Book
also lists periodicals by dioceses, devotional groups, missionary and educational groups.
Type the names of the following magazines into your computer's search engine and you will learn more.  Some of these are labeled liberal and some conservative, but all are reputable, fine periodicals in the Episcopal / Anglican tradition of an informed, educated laity.

You might split the cost of a subscription by going in with several others ... then pass the magazines around to each family. And if you don't want to keep them, give them to your Parish Library.

The Christian Century - A very highly regarded independent periodical,
with theological articles regarding current happenings in the church and
the world.

The Living Church - weekly independent magazine, serving the Anglican
Communion for 130 years.

The Witness - award-winning, independent, Christian social action magazine serving the Episcopal Church for about 30 years.

The Anglican Digest - independent, seasonal collection of news, info and
